Meet Casilda Elena
Judicial positions are important to the structure and fabric of our country and indeed the fabric of Brooklyn. Casilda Elena Roper-Simpson is committed to providing equal justice with compassion, integrity, and impartiality. As your Civil Court Judge, Casilda Elena Roper-Simpson will enforce the law.
Associate’s degree in Legal Secretarial Science (1983), Bachelor of Arts degree from Baruch College (CUNY) in Political Science (1987), and Juris Doctorate degree from Brooklyn Law School (1994)
Adjunct Professor at Molloy College in the Criminal Justice and Paralegal Department for more than 10 years. There she trains emerging lawyers, law enforcement professionals, emerging paralegals, and others with an interest in the law.
Member of the original legal team in the landmark case of Abner Louima, a victim of one of the worst police brutality cases in New York City history.
Served as an attorney on the Assigned Counsel Panel for Nassau County and Kings County since 1997 and 1998 respectfully. Handling criminal matters for the indigent community.
Has presented hundreds of cases in federal and state courts over the course of 25 years in multiple substantive law areas, which include Criminal, Personal Injury, Immigration, Family, and Civil Rights.
Her biggest accomplishment is raising her “diamonds” – her three children Coreen, Camille, and Conroy Jr. She is so very proud of their accomplishments and her greatest blessings are her four grandbabies: Rashaun, Jayden, Casilda Anita, and Tatum.
